Jada  L. Givens began her dance education at the Flint School of Performing Arts, where she studied under renowned instructors such as Karen Mills Jennings and Michael Woodberry-Means. During her training, she would also choreograph and dance with the Prayer Garden COGIC praise dance team, where she created some of her favorite works such as "Can't Turn Back", "He Turned It", and "Jesus Will". She is currently attending Oakland University to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, as well as a K-12 Teaching Certification in Dance Education. She has expanded her artistic and personal development through collaborations with renowned faculty members and visiting artists such as Anthony Alterio, Ali Woerner, Neda Ebrahimi, Stephanie Pizzo, and Laurie Eisenhower. Most recently, in 2023, she received the prestigious O'Dowd Scholarship, a talent-based scholarship funded by Oakland University's O'Dowd Endowment. In her senior year, she obtained a student apprentice position with Take Root, which includes a focus on professional dancing and art education. Jada is very interested in pursuing a professional career in dance, with a focus on choreography.
